Roti Charity Trust, NGO

It is most heartening to see NGOs, like this one in Benglaru,
taking the initiative to provide food to the needy and
to family members of patients in hospital. There are many such
individuals doing similar laudable work across the country.
(I know of two such organisations in Mumbai. One at Gopal Mansions,
Near Metro cinema and another which is Kandivli based)

What should have been a prioritised action by the governments of the world,
is being taken up by individuals / NGOs and charitable Trusts.

If there is enough food in the world to feed all the poor and needy persons,
then why are they pursuing a quest for armaments?

Why cant all the governments of the world get together and agree on pooling
of their surplus food resources and send it where it is required most?
